What You Should Know About Cats

If you have never had a cat before, chances are that you’ve seen some of the more well-known feline characters in comics. The famous English tale of Dick Whittington and his cat is a popular example. Other famous writers who devoted time to cats include Charles Baudelaire and Theophile Gautier. In addition, authors Rudyard Kipling and Colette wrote about the love they have for their feline companions. Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has even created a stage production called Cats.

Unlike humans, cats use their five senses to identify objects and people. Cat whiskers are called vibrrissae, and they transmit information to their sensory cells. During a brush with an object, a cat’s whiskers vibrate, stimulating nerve endings in the hair follicle. This helps cats learn about their surroundings. A cat’s sense of smell helps it recognize objects and people in its environment. It also helps a cat to identify its owner.download new video from Y2Mate Video Download
